Honestly, the real answer is, we’ve gotten way too obsessed with "visionary" founders. The most successful companies often come from folks who are just relentlessly pragmatic problem-solvers, not necessarily moonshot dreamers. Being able to execute on a solid, even unsexy, idea trumps grand pronouncements every time. Change my mind.

Here's the thing: I agree, a strong defensive play and solid execution on fundamentals often win the game, rather than just flashy, high-risk plays. The real ROI comes from consistently moving the chains and scoring, even if it's not a highlight reel touchdown every time.
