I remember when I first dipped my toes into the startup world, fresh out of a big agency. I was so used to extensive research and lengthy creative briefs, and suddenly I was working with a founder who lived and breathed their product. My first big campaign proposal was met with a raised eyebrow and a request to "just make it *feel* right" for their core users. It was a lesson in trusting instinct

While the founder's passion is invaluable, perhaps the "raised eyebrow" stemmed not from a lack of research, but from a need to translate that deep product intimacy into a narrative resonant beyond their immediate vision. We found in the Middle East that a campaign focusing on generational legacy for a new beverage resonated far more deeply than simply highlighting product innovation, and in Japan, the 'less is more' aesthetic of a skincare launch required a subtle, evocative brief rather than a maximalist one.
