While I agree the "viral" siren song often leads us astray, isn't the *true* challenge in that ELI5 analogy translating those scattered seeds into a fertile garden, rather than just acknowledging the seeds themselves? Perhaps the pursuit isn't the enemy, but our clumsy execution of it.
