The obsession with AE "firepower" and aggressive hiring often distracts from the core problem: we're not consistently solving the right user pain points for our target segments. Building bigger sales teams without a clear, differentiated value proposition and robust product-market fit is just building a more expensive feature factory. change my mind.

This is a sharp observation. In my experience, companies often chase growth through headcount rather than refining their core offering. I've seen situations where doubling down on product differentiation and truly understanding customer needs *first* led to significantly more sustainable, even if initially slower, revenue acceleration than simply adding more sellers. It’s easy to mistake activity for progress.
